About

Bodenpress is a printmaking studio in 'Tring rural' Hertfordshire where artists have been working together on literary themed exhibitions for many years. Overseen by Helen Boden, who also runs courses and print sessions at the studio, the artists have taken their inspiration from the writings of selected authors, including Virginia Woolf and Laurie Lee.

'Literary landscapes' showcases a variety of printmaking techniques such as Polymer etching, Linocut, Collagraph, Drypoint, Screenprint and Monotype.  The work is varied in style with many processes used to create original fine art prints. Some are unique, others are part of a small limited edition, and all are hand inked.

The exhibiting artists are:

Lalage Allison, Helen Boden, Julie Brown, Marian Carter, Jeannelise Edelsten, Jon Flint, Carol Gigg, Bernie Grist, Suman Gujral, Karen Martin, Matt Mullins, Denise Purdy and Michael Spark.

More exhibition information here.

Work on display is also available to purchase.

About Parndon Mill

Just to the east of Roydon, on the edge of Harlow and beside the River Stort, you'll find Parndon Mill, a hub of creativity. Exhibitions, sales of art from the resident artists, events, classes and workshops all take place within this historic mill - in beautiful surroundings. Since the sixties it has been occupied by artists and craftsmen who have gradually restored the premises.

Parndon Mill provides workspace for artists, craftspeople, designers and architects who have the opportunity to share ideas and use their different skills to collaborate on creative work. They also run classes to pass on their skills.

Find out more about the history of Parndon Mill here.
