About
The Cock Inn Sheering
In the small village of Sheering, this 17th-century coaching inn is like a second home to many of the village locals so if you are just passing through you will always be made to feel welcome. The bar serves a choice of real ales, lagers and a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks which you can enjoy in the traditional surroundings of an English pub, in front of the log fire, or outside in the garden.
The restaurant serves homemade traditional meals, while the friendly bar has a warm, relaxing atmosphere. The Cock Inn prides itself on a menu based on fresh local produce, with meat from Smithfield and fish from Billingsgate, all cooked freshly to order. The menu is varied and caters for everyone serving traditional meals, light bites, bar snacks and a daily chefs special. Sundays offer a traditional roast with a choice of three meats or a large mixed roast as well as the standard menu.
Meals are served Monday 12.00-2.30pm then again 6.00-8.30pm and Sundays 12-3.30pm. There is a seasonal garden and patio area with seating so you can relax outside while having a drink or meal and take in the countryside surroundings.
The Cock Inn Hotel also offers beautiful en suite bedrooms and modern facilities, with the friendly service and charm of a family-run village inn. Although the pub dates back to the 17th century, the hotel was built in 2003 and has a modern feel.
