The Fox Inn Matching Tye
The Fox Inn is an 18th Century pub, set in the peaceful village of Matching Tye. The Gibson family took over the pub in 2002, having been in the industry for over 40 years, the pub has gone from strength to strength since then, with the extension of the restaurant and the recent addition of 12 luxury en-suite bedrooms.
Staying at The Fox Inn gives you all the peace and quiet of the country side, while only being a short 10 minute drive away from Harlow Town Centre, Harlow Train Station and the M11, giving access to the M25 and London. Stansted Airport is 15 minutes away with Epping train station, which is on the London Underground Central Line, being within 20 minutes.
Accommodation at The Fox Inn consists of 7 Double Bedrooms, 2 Twin Bedrooms, 2 Family Bedrooms (sleeping 3 to 4 people in a double bed and sofa bed) and 1 Disabled suitable Bedroom.
All rooms are non-smoking and have an en-suite bathroom. Television, tea and coffee making facilities, Wifi internet connection, and continental breakfast is also included. Hair dryer, ironing board & iron are available from the reception. There is no penalty for Cancellation up to 24 hours before your reservation. If you have to cancel after that, then we will charge a fee of £20.00 per room. The full tariff becomes payable after 6:00pm on the day of booking.
Check in time is from 3:00pm, with check out being at 11:00am.
A cooked breakfast is available from 8:00am to 9:30am every day, but must be ordered upon check in and costs £7.00 extra per person.
Pets are not permitted in the accommodation area.
In our character beamed restaurant there is a relaxed friendly atmosphere. The pub is open 7 days a week, serving good wholesome food from an extensive menu, with roast dinners being served on a Sunday lunch. There is a large family garden with which to enjoy the quiet country summers and ample car parking space. Being a free-house, the pub is able to buy from a variety of breweries, each with an extensive range of beers, wines and other beverages to choose from, making it possible to keep up with not only popular brands, but to experiment with some of the more exotic, little known, products.

Road Directions
From the M11 junction 7, take the A414 north towards Harlow. Follow the A414 to the fourth roundabout (the first has a complex of traffic lights) and take the fourth exit onto the B183. Follow this a short way to another roundabout and continue straight across. At the next roundabout take the second exit. After a short way turn left at the T junction onto the Sheering Road. This becomes Moor Hall Road and then matching road as it crosses under the M11. It then becomes Harlow Road and the Fox Inn is on the right in Matching Tye village.
There is plenty of parking at the Fox Inn.
