Find all the eggs - Easter Bunny visits - Facepainters
Find all the eggs that the Easter Bunny has hidden all along our line. Running the length of the railway track, from Ongar through to Coopersale, the distance covered is equivalent to 131,579 eggs placed end to end! You'll need to hop on and off our steam and diesel trains to find them all!
Upon arrival, children will receive a sheet with clues, before being asked to find as many numbered eggs as they can, which Bertie has sneakily hidden around the Railway - be sure to keep watch out of the windows during your journey. At the end of your visit, return the sheet to one of our gift shops at either Ongar or North Weald and receive a special Easter treat.
Stay alert for Bertie the Easter Bunny, who will be out and about the stations and maybe even aboard some of the trains throughout each day!
At North Weald:
Our gift shop will be open with a wide selection of souvenirs for sale, as well as a selection of Peppa Pig merchandise.
The LNER Café will be open offering a range of hot and cold drinks and light refreshments to take away.
Also at North Weald, children young and old can enjoy having their faces painted (additional charge applies) between 10.30 and 15.00.
At Ongar:
You can watch the locomotive run around the train, and find the point where all distances on the underground are measured from!
Our gift shop will be open and light refreshments will be available.
The Penny Salon Gallery will be open showing a topical photographic exhibition.
