About
Parndon Mill invites you to a delightful waterside evening of jazz and art on Saturday 20 July.
The Gallery opens to visitors at 5.00pm, with entertainment beginning at 6.00pm.
Find a comfortable spot between the willow trees and the historic Mill and settle in for a relaxing evening. Indulge your senses as the sun sinks over the River Stort and the world slows down to melodious swing, latin, blues and bebop tones, with The Essex Jazz Collective featuring top UK saxophonist Zak Barrett.
Treat yourself to award winning beers from The Redchurch Brewery or summer cocktails mixed especially for the evening by Stort Valley Gifting. You can also choose from a selection of soft drinks and snacks at the bar, or hot drinks and sweet treats from Brownies Coffee Shop.
As twilight draws in there will be a special raffle to raise funds for Parndon Mill Charity. Prizes include a portrait session by renowned artist Jonathan Farmingham, a voucher towards a class at Parndon Mill, and your very own private gin tasting session with Stort Valley Gifting.
With thanks to partners and suppliers, as well as 1st Kingsmoor Scouts who will be assisting on the evening.
About Parndon Mill
Just to the east of Roydon, on the edge of Harlow and beside the River Stort, you'll find Parndon Mill, a hub of creativity. Exhibitions, sales of art from the resident artists, events, classes and workshops all take place within this historic mill - in beautiful surroundings. Since the sixties it has been occupied by artists and craftsmen who have gradually restored the premises.
Parndon Mill provides workspace for artists, craftspeople, designers and architects who have the opportunity to share ideas and use their different skills to collaborate on creative work. They also run classes to pass on their skills.
