Step into the Forest and be part of a treetop experience
Join Arts and Gardens for a one hour session where you'll learn a fun and simple group song with music leader and climber, Ellie Bowers-Jolley, accompanied by guitarist Olly Weeks, before ascending the boughs of a mature oak tree, with the support of an expert climbing instructor from The Great Big Tree Climbing Company. The session will finish with...you guessed it...a singalong from the treetops!
This activity is for all ages 8 years and older. Children, young people and grown ups are welcome to join, but we cannot accommodate children younger than 8 years.
You'll need to wear a well-fitted long sleeved top and trousers / tracksuit bottoms, and well-fitted trainers. Bring a jacket or coat too, as it can be chilly in the tree.
This activity is available to participants with limited mobility. If you have access needs you'd like to discuss in advance of booking, please contact info@artsandgardens.org Accessible toilets and Blue Badge parking are available near to the climbing site.
Parking can be very busy in the area, so we recommend ensuring you leave plenty of time to find a place to park if you are driving. Alternatively, Epping Forest Visitor Centre at Chingford is a 10-15 minute walk from Chingford Rail Station.
Arts and Gardens connects people with gardens and green spaces.
