About

Wildlife Photography Competition

Part of the Epping Forest Festival of Culture

Organised by the Epping Forest District Museum

Closing date for entries: midnight on 30 April 2021

For entry an entry form and full competion guidelines click HERE.

As part of the district's Festival of Culture, the Museum is running a competion, open to all, inviting you to send in your wildlife photos.

In recent months we’ve all been staying home to help save lives. Human movement has been drastically minimised and our relationship with nature has changed as a result of that. We’re looking for photos that really tell a story about this unique moment in history. It could be of birds that you’ve never really noticed before but now watch from your window everyday whilst working. Or a fox that has become increasingly bold as the streets are quiet.

Whatever access to nature you have, be it through your bedroom window, your garden or whilst exercising (please observe the current COVID-19 restrictions) we’re asking you to capture honest representations of the natural world around you.

There are three age categories so the whole family can get involved:

10 Years and Under

11-18 Years

Adults (19 Years+)

How can you enter?

Download the competition guidelines - all the details on the size of the photos, terms and conditions and frequently asked questions are in here.

Anyone can submit up to five photographs so pick your best shots!

Once you’ve captured the perfect image (or five) please email the photos and a completed entry form to museum@eppingforestdc.gov.uk with ‘Photo Competition’ in the subject line.

Remember, the competition closes at midnight on 30 April 2021.
