Waltham Abbey Easter Market and Easter Egg Hunt

Highbridge Street, and Sun Street, Waltham Abbey

19th April 2025 9am – 3pm

Over 50 stalls in Market Square and all along Sun Street

Great family day out in Waltham Abbey with lots of stalls for children and adults.

Free Children's Easter Egg Hunt 11am – 2pm

Collect a special map and spot the golden eggs in shop windows along Sun Street and Highbridge Street. Mark them all off and claim your Easter Egg. Maps can be collected from the Tourist Information Centre in the Town Hall during the week before, or collected from the Daniel Thomas Market Stall, outside the Sun Pub, on the day – where you also hand in your completed map to collect your Easter Egg.

Road Directions

The Museum is located in the heart of the historic town of Waltham Abbey, situated just outside the M25 between Epping Forest and the Lee Valley. From the M25, leave at junction 26 and follow the signs to Waltham Abbey.

Free parking is currently available at the Abbey Gardens carpark which is a 10 minute walk from the museum. Further pay and display parking is available in the town centre, the nearest car park is Quaker Lane car park which is a 2 minute walk from the museum.

Public Transport Directions

The museum is a 25 minute walk from Waltham Cross Railway Station. A taxi rank is located outside the station. Buses also operate from Waltham Cross Bus Station which is a 5 minute walk from the station and a bus stop is located within a 2 minute walk of the museum.
