Orphy is a renowned vibraphonist, recording artist and a valued Trustee of the NJA . He sits on a variety of jazz and wider music industry boards and committees representing composers, performers and educators and he has a magnificent musical CV extending over 40 years including being one of only a few UK jazz musicians to be signed by Blue Note Records, a founder member of the Jazz Warrior and has worked worked with Don Cherry, Jean Luc Ponty, Sun Ra Arkestra and Nigel Kennedy....to name but a few!
With a CV like that, you can only expect a fabulous band to sit alongside him to tell us the “illustrated” story of the vibraphone in jazz and the band will be
· Orphy Robinson vibraphone
· Rowland Sutherland flute
· Tony Kofi tenor sax
· James Wade-Sired trombone
· Emile Hinton keyboards
· Dudley Philips - double bass
· Mark Mondesir - drums & percussion
