Summer Afternoon Tea at Copped Hall

Gates Open at 1.30pm for a 2pm start time for all participants. The Gates will close at 5pm.

Cost: £25 per person.

Location

Mansion – Ground Floor. Event is suitable for wheelchair users. Wheelchair users should contact the Box Office to allow the volunteers to make appropriate arrangements.

Description

What could be more traditional than Afternoon Tea? Now you have the chance to enjoy it in the relaxing and unique surroundings of Copped Hall. Scrumptious home-made sandwiches, cakes and scones served with a pot of tea using lovely china, ending with an optional stroll around the wonderful gardens. The price includes a glass of Prosecco or non-alcoholic drink. Early Booking is essential as numbers are limited. Please advise of any dietary requirements when booking.

Road Directions

From the M25, junction 26. Follow signs to Loughton (then to Epping). Drive uphill through the forest to the roundabout. Take the first left exit (B1393), passing the garage on the left. In slightly over half a mile, turn left, signposted Upshire. After a few hundred yards you will see on the right the entrance gates and gate houses to Copped Hall.

From Woodford and Loughton. Drive to the Wake Arms roundabout, follow signs to Epping (B1393) passing the garage on your left, in slightly over half a mile, turn left, signposted Upshire. After a few hundred yards you will see on the right the entrance gates and gate houses to Copped Hall.

From Harlow and the M11. Follow signs to Epping for approximately 5 miles. Through Epping, after passing the Bell Hotel on your right, in slightly over a mile turn right, signposted Upshire. After a few hundred yards you will see on the right the entrance gates and gate houses to Copped Hall.

From North Weald. Drive to Epping. Go through Epping, after passing the Bell Hotel on your right, in slightly over a mile turn right, signposted Upshire. After a few hundred yards you will see on the right the entrance gates and gate houses to Copped Hall.

Note: the gates are electrically operated and require a code number to enter but open automatically when leaving. Do not disturb the gate house owners for access.

Public Transport Directions

Nearest stations are Epping on the Central Line and Chingford for the overground. Taxis can complete your journey from either.
