All set for start of The Mead Comedy Club season

The Mead Comedy Club season starts on Friday, September 15, with two of the comedy club circuits most experienced comics. 

Headlining the night is Sean Meo, a former Time Out Comedian of the Year (1998).

Sean is widely acknowledged as one of the finest performers and writers on the UK comedy circuit. A former professional snooker player, he turned to a career in comedy in 1989. He is now one of the most established names on the comedy circuit and regularly headlines at Jongleurs and The Comedy Store where he is a member of The Cutting Edge topical comedy team. He has performed across the world from Montreal to Melbourne, New Zealand to Edinburgh, and Singapore to South Africa. He has worked extensively in the US, including San Francisco, New York and the Riviera in Las Vegas. He has been seen on The World Stands Up and heard on The Now Show, and is also a prolific writer for various TV programmes.

Supporting Sean is John Mann who provides sharp observation and wry wit mingled effortlessly with a gentle and confident rapport.  

John is as at home with an audience of students as he is with a corporate dinner and frequently appears in most of the UK's leading comedy clubs, most notably Jongleurs for whom he is a regular and longstanding headliner. He has been seen on Live at Jongleurs and heard on Comedy Network.

There will also be two supporting acts. 

Resident Host for the season is Paul Wade, well known promoter of the Harlow Comedy Club.
The Mead Comedy Club takes place in the Mead Suite at Town Mead Leisure Park, Brooker Road, Waltham Abbey, on Friday, September 15.

The Mead Suite has a full bar service and varied food menu.
