Road Directions

From M25 Junction 26

Take the A121 east, Honey Lane towards Loughton. Just past the Volunteer Pub on your left, turn left into Forest Side. Continue along this road into the forest as it becomes Claypit Hill. As you enter the open area at the top of the hill, turn left into High Beech just before the green tea hut on your right. The Kings Oak is just along High Beech on your left.

From M11 Junction 5 north-bound (there is no south bound junction at 5)

At the end of the slip road turn left into Chigwell Lane and continue along this road past Epping Forest College where it becomes Rectory Lane. At the roundabout at the end of the road, turn right onto Goldings Hill. At the end of Goldings Hill at the Wake arms roundabout, take the second exit, A121 Woodridden Hill and then turn immediately left over a cattle grid onto a forest road. Continue to the end of this road and turn left into Claypit Hill. As you enter the open area at the top of the hill, turn left into High Beech just before the green tea hut on your right. The Kings Oak is just along High Beech on your left.

From London North Circular Road

At the Waterworks Roundabout, take the A104 north, Woodford New Road. Follow this as it becomes Woodford Green and then the Epping New Road and enters the forest. At the first roundabout in the forest, with the Robin Hood on the far side, take the first exit into Cross Roads. Go over the cattle grid, past the biker's tea hut on your left and through a width restriction and take the first turning on the right which is High Beech. The Kings Oak is on the right further down this road.

Public Transport Directions

The nearest tube station is Loughton on the Central Line. The nearest overground station is Chingford. Both are a short taxi ride away.
