About

Every two years since 2014 owners of some of the most beautiful gardens around Epping have opened their gates to the public to raise money for two local charities Chigwell Riding Trust and CanalAbility. At Shaftesbury Farm there are a range a classic cars to view, together with entertainment from Belly Dancers, singing by Donna, Rusty Spoonz Guitarists. This year there is a Children's Trail with prizes to encourage young gardeners.

Dogs are welcome in some gardens, not all gardens are accessible for wheelchairs, some have steps and narrow entrances.

Refreshments are available in some gardens.

In the programme, there is a list of the gardens with addresses and a location map. Each garden will also have a sign outside and programmes can be purchased at each garden, so if anyone walks past one, they can start at that garden. There are 11 gardens, Meadow Road allotments open and the balancing pond near Stonards Hill will have people to help identify the wildlife.

This event is in aid of CanalAbility and Chigwell Riding Trust

The event is sponsored by Butler & Stag.
