The Arts Society West Essex invites you to watch a one hour Zoom Webinar lecture on Dame Laura Knight (1877-1970): An English painter and printmaker. She was the first woman elected to the Royal Academy of Arts in 1936. She was known for her portraits and paintings of gypsies, circus folk, and the Cornish coast.
The lecturer is Rosalind Whyte who holds a MA from both Goldsmiths College and Birkbeck College and is a guide at Tate Britain, Greenwich and The Royal Academy.
