Bat and Moth evening at The Hive

Come and discover some of the nocturnal wonders of Epping Forest on the bat and moth night.
Join a guided bat walk, where you'll use detectors to hear these magical creatures as they fly and hunt around us. You may also catch a glimpse of them as they perform their areal acroBATics!
Enjoy a rare chance to see the butterfly’s secretive cousins – the moths: marvel at their exquisite patterns and identify some common species with the help of our education officer. You will also have a range of quizzes, games, crafts and a trail for different ages and interest levels.
Finish with a complimentary hot drink in the cosy Lodge, to complete your evening.
This is a family-friendly event, but solo adults will also enjoy the activities and are just as welcome.
